New Tomb Raider Reportedly Planned for Christmas, 2011

The downloadable spin-off Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light may be planned for release later this year, but it looks like Tomb Raider fans have quite a bit of a wait left for the next main entry in the series. Eurogamer reports that Crystal Dynamics is in fact working in the next proper Tomb Raider game, but it won’t be ready for release until Christmas of 2011.

World of Warcraft is the clear king of the MMORPG circuit, but Blizzard is keeping a close eye on the free-to-play competition and considering it as a possibility for the future, PC Gamer reports . Lead designer Tom Chilton talked talked about the influx of MMOs that have either started as “freemium” or switched to the model after launch.

Less than a week ago, we first caught wind of IdeaSpark Labs’ upcoming PC and WiiWare remake of MDK2 . There’s still not a ton of info out there, but now we know at least one thing about the updated BioWare shooter: It should be a little less hair-pullingly difficult. “Our main goal is to not mess with the fun,” IdeaSpark Labs creative director and BioWare co-founder Trent Oster told Big Download.
